I've been putting this off for a while now, but I just can't keep up the ruse any longer. Thanks for all the good times - we did some pretty cool stuff together back in the day.
Yes, we laughed a lot, Explorer - but we cried and fought too. I really feel we're not as close anymore. I guess it's my fault - I've grown and you haven't. We just don't seem to have the same interests these days and you don't get along with my new friends. I really did think we would grow old together, but you still seem to be stuck in the past.
I'm sure you suspected it (but you're not well-known for your intuition) - I've met someone new - actually, we've been seeing each other for close to 3 years now. I'm sure if you got to know Firefox, you would appreciate why I am having to write this. It's over, Explorer.
You can keep all my bookmarks - I was able to seamlessly duplicate our old library years ago and, well, you've probably noticed we haven't done much reading together for a while anyway.
I realize this must come as quite a shock, but I have way too many aspirations to be stuck back in the past with you. I hope you understand - please don't be bitter. I wish you well and sincerely hope you find someone else. I know you still have a tight group of loyal friends, but I must say this out of respect for the time we spent together, "Grow up, or you'll lose them too."
Goodbye.
